Portalgraph NES 3D Emulator

A Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) emulator that lets you enjoy classic NES games in stereoscopic 3D using Portalgraph.

It converts NES games into a 3D scene and uses your PC's built-in camera to track your head, allowing you to look into the game world from different angles. It also supports red/cyan anaglyph 3D, so you can experience stereoscopic gameplay with inexpensive red/cyan glasses.

Please use only NES ROMs that you legally own.

3D Profiles

Each game requires a 3D profile (.nesprof) to display correctly in 3D.

A profile has the same filename as the ROM, with the .nesprof extension.

Example:

SuperMario.nes
SuperMario.nesprof

Press F3 while playing to open the 3D Profile Editor.

From there, you can adjust the depth and shape of individual background and sprite tiles to create a convincing 3D effect.

Ready-made profiles are currently available for:

• Super Mario Bros.
• Xevious
• Gradius
• Star Force
• Ice Climber

After downloading a profile, place it in the same folder as the corresponding ROM.

Requirements

The Portalgraph Runtime is required.

For basic operation, you'll need:

• A Windows PC with a webcam (for head tracking)
• Red/cyan anaglyph 3D glasses (for stereoscopic viewing)
